Day OneArrive & Meet
Arrive in Cairo via either Cairo International Airport or Sphinx International Airport. There are no scheduled activities for today, take the time to relax and get ready for the exciting days ahead.
Day TwoCooking with the locals
🌞 A day in the countryside. Step into the heart of local culture with an immersive day led by rural women. Join seasonal cooking classes to learn the secrets of preparing traditional Egyptian dishes—whether it’s baking bread and feteer, or making cheese and butter from scratch. Your experience doesn’t stop in the kitchen: take part in a guided harvest tour at nearby farms, then enjoy the countryside with options such as horseback riding, donkey cart rides, or simply a tranquil walk through the fields. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with local heritage and savor the true taste of rural life.
🌙 Explore Downtown Cairo and sample delicious local street food while visiting some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. End the day with drinks at a local bar, getting to know your fellow travelers along the way.
Day Three5,000 years of history and culture
🌞 Begin the day with a visit to the iconic Cairo Citadel, a magnificent medieval fortress that has stood watch over the city for centuries. Explore its impressive walls, courtyards, and mosques, including the stunning Mosque of Muhammad Ali, and enjoy panoramic views across Cairo. Continue to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where we will journey through thousands of years of Egyptian history from prehistoric times through the Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic, Islamic, and modern eras. The highlight of the visit is the Royal Mummies Hall, home to Egypt’s most famous kings and queens.
🌙 Enjoy a unique culinary experience at Mamai Restaurant, located in the heart of historic Cairo’s Al-Muizz Street — one of the oldest and most atmospheric streets in the city. The restaurant is set within an authentic Mamluk-era palace building, giving you a real taste of Egypt’s rich architectural heritage alongside your meal.
Day FourThe Grand Pyramid Scheme
🌞 Visit the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, aka the legendary Pyramids of Giza followed by a tour of the magnificent, newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian treasures ever displayed.
🌙 After a long and fascinating day among the mummies, enjoy some well-deserved time to relax. Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to grab some dinner as well.
Day FiveA traditional art of creating with your hands
🌞 Get ready for another countryside adventure as we head to Tunis Village in Fayoum. Learn the art of traditional pottery, visit the only waterfalls in Egypt (no, not one every five minutes like in Iceland), then jump into a desert safari with some truly experienced and slightly crazy drivers. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try sandboarding and get sand absolutely everywhere. Don’t worry, though — we’ll finish the day by washing it all off in the nearby lake while watching the sunset.
🌙 Take a shower and relax. If you still have energy, feel free to go for a walk — but don’t count me in!
Day SixShop til you drop (dead and become a mummy)
🌞 Let’s head back to Cairo and explore one of the largest shopping malls in Egypt! Enjoy some shopping, discover modern Egypt (yes, not everything here is ancient), or if shopping isn’t your thing, try indoor skiing right in the mall.
🌙 I suggest getting an early night since we’ll be heading to our next destination bright and early.
Day Seven, Six, and NineIsland hopping and disturbing the fishes
🏄♂️ Embark on a 3-day adventure in Hurghada, where you’ll relax on pristine sandy beaches, stay in beautiful seaside hotels, and explore nearby islands while enjoying unforgettable snorkeling experiences and a variety of exciting water activities.
Day TenThe Final Quest
🌞 Head back to Cairo.
🌙 Optional boat trip on the Nile River.
